Terms of Service

GroundSites designs, builds, hosts and maintains a bespoke website for your business. The exact pages, features and timeline are agreed in writing before we start work.

Every plan has a one-off setup fee and a flat monthly fee. The setup fee is payable before the build begins. The monthly fee starts when your site goes live and covers hosting, security, updates, small content changes and SEO monitoring as set out in your plan.

Payments are collected by card or direct debit through our payment provider. If a monthly payment fails, we will contact you before taking any action on your site.

Monthly plans run for an initial 12 months, then continue month to month. After the initial term you can cancel with 30 days' written notice by emailing hello@groundsites.co.uk. Setup fees are not refundable once design work has started.

Your domain name is registered in your name and stays yours. Your content - text, photos and logo - remains yours. Once your setup fee is paid, the finished design and content of your site are yours to keep; the underlying framework and any reusable code we develop remain ours.

Timely replies, accurate details about your services and areas, and photos if you have them. We can only work to an agreed timeline if the material we ask for arrives when we ask for it.

You confirm that any content you send us is yours to use and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Every site is built to be fast, technically sound and structured for local search. Search engines are outside anyone's control, so we cannot promise a specific position for a specific search term, and we will never claim to.

We aim for continuous availability but cannot guarantee an uninterrupted service. Our liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
